Rotary Midtown Library is a joint project between Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown (RCRM – Rajkot’s premier NGO) & Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC - local governing body).

Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) is a local government committed to provide basic infrastructure facilities to the people of the city. RMC is very well known for the managing the city by using private sector participation. As per their broad city development plan, RMC has invited Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown to nurture & manage this library.

Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown (RCRM) is a premier NGO of Rajkot city. RCRM has sponsored & managing various service projected activities including various medical facilities, children health & education facilities and many such service project for community of Rajkot. As of year 2007, RCRM is managing 45 permanent projects & about sponsoring about 100+ projects every year.

As part of city’s development plan, RMC has initiated an idea of library & invited RCRM to build, develop & manage a library of an international standard. RMC has provided building premises & necessary furnishing. Also computers & other necessary equipments are being provided.

Upon RMC’s invitation & understanding this will be vary valuable project for nurturing future generation of society, RCRM has accepted this project & build a world class library with Exemplary Collection of books, periodicals, various CD/DVDs & online databases/references.
